Pack Animals

Friday a few friends and I went to The Goodfoot in SE Portland. It was a really good time. I’m not sure if it’s Portland or if I’ve just never gone out in a large mixed (males and females) group before. The thing I have noticed the most about Portland is that people rarely break off from the packs and mingle with anyone new. I’m not sure how anyone dates in this town. The only men I’ve met worth dating were at work (not happening) or the internet (hi that’s so boring).
What is it about Portland that makes meeting someone so hard? What is it we are all not doing right? I’ve heard that the men here are not as aggressive; it’s all the arty music loving types. But really is that it? What has happened to the men of Portland do I have to be the aggressor all the time? So today I should from the rooftops: “Men of Portland get out there and quit being so afraid of rejection you might be surprised at what happens!”
